Zoo Time!

For Lucy and Rowan's birthday, my Auntie Robin gave us a membership to the Woodland Park Zoo. Yesterday we took our maiden voyage, accompanied by our friends Ellie and Donnianne. We had a super fun time, and the babies were so good!! No tantrums, no crying, no sleeping; which could also be a con of the trip, and no Bird/Swine flu or Wolf Aids...that is recognizable so far. The weather was perfect, overcast and warm enough with no breeze. We even got soft serve ice cream and saw a peacock with its' feathers out. It was all the ingredients for an awesome day. And in exchange for some manual labor, Jen bought me dinner and a margarita. I'm pretty sure if I don't get a new job I'll just take a position on the 124th St. Southbound 405 exit with a sign that says, "Will Work For Food: Mexican or Thai perferred, but will settle for a BicMac or a #2, beef, w/a Coke from Taco Time." That'll all be the fine print of the sign ; )Rowan playing in ZooMazium, an indoor playground that was just her and Ellie's size! With oversized chairs for grownups on the outside, no hands on parenting! Just my style.

Having some snacks in the family fun farm where Rowan proceeded to call every animal a dog, and tried to kick a goat in the ribs like 5 times.

Opening a birthday present from cousin Danielle, who drove down from Bellingham for the Panda show on Sunday.

That's all for today ladys and gents. Oh, and please post thoughts on me going back to school for my ASL (American Sign Language) certification. I'm an open book for some advice!!

Esther,

two comments: #1. I love the summer dress with fruit that Row has on in the pictures. Just adorable!! Where'd ya get it?
(kidding)

#2. Sign language and the deaf culture is fasenating as you already know. I say go for it, or perhaps consider a degree in Speech Path. It's a great field with tons of jobs and not so stressful like teaching. I wish I had gone into speech path instead of teaching. I say go for it!!

Either career path sounds rewarding,... but I still think you would make an awesome columnist (or novelist) so keep that in the back of your psyche. I know you already know that Im serious about this... but I am SERIOUS about this!
